I was hoping that this rug would actually be 100% wool and not like other wool/poly rugs which are typically 90/10. Most complaints about burnt pressmats have been related to the fact that it is a mixture. Although the packaging says it is 100% wool, I was surprised when I pressed the quilted block onto wool with the iron and the rug started to burn. So now I have to use the ironing cloth over the carpet and take advantage of the wool fibers next to my cloth. With the help of a wooden flap and an ironing board, I managed to get flatter seams than on this rug.
