Excellent quality with whole wool

Love the size for quilting. The density of the wool makes it very durable and does not form a wet, steamy floor.

Great gift! best at sewing

This was a gift for a quilt and they loved it and said no quilt should be without it! We talked about the smoothness of the stitching and the fabric. Thank you for a great product

Comfortable Quilt Mat

The ironing mat is perfect to put on my ironing board and quilt blocks. I didn't notice any smell as other reviewers have mentioned. When spinning with steam, it smells like wet wool, which is how it should be.

great for pressing. I'm a Quilter

I love this wool rug. It gets tighter and tighter, it works great with my sewing machine ironing the seams while I sew the quilt blocks together. and i also got it to put vinyl on my shirts. If you have a cutting machine, it's perfect for that

Wool Scorched Installation

I was hoping that this rug would actually be 100% wool and not like other wool/poly rugs which are typically 90/10. Most complaints about burnt pressmats have been related to the fact that it is a mixture. Although the packaging says it is 100% wool, I was surprised when I pressed the quilted block onto wool with the iron and the rug started to burn. So now I have to use the ironing cloth over the carpet and take advantage of the wool fibers next to my cloth. With the help of a wooden flap and…

Works great

I have two 13 1/2 inch square rugs that I use on my ironing board to iron the quilts I'm working on. There are other versions and sizes, but I like my specific setup. There is a longer version of the wool rug that would fit the entire ironing board but is not as thick. My quilt shop uses a thinner version and it seems to work just as well as this thicker version. Amazing how much difference it makes when ironing seams with wool rugs. Wool carpets surpass this "special" equipment.
