Review on NOCO GEN5X2 Fully Automatic Temperature Compensation by Chef Deane

It's hard to say whether to give this device 4 or 5 stars. Functionally it is 5. Service and delivery 5. No regrets on these points. The only issue I had is a small physical issue that would make this a lot more versatile. I installed this on the inside of a boat with a center console. It fits well, the durability of the device is commendable. The only issue I have is that the design has two recessed channels for attaching the mounting studs (screws). The size of these channels necessitates the use of captive mounting screws on the side of the charger. Since I installed this charger in the console I would prefer the screw heads to be on the outside of the center console and the nuts on the inside. The space provided by these access channels is not large enough to fit a wrench, socket or wrench onto the nut. This results in nuts and washers on the outside of the console, which is not my first choice for assembly. (see image)
