Solid connection; adaptable.

Awesome terminals, they work well and are very adaptable to multiple configurations. The connection is solid and will last the test of time. When retrofitting your car, it's best to be able to crimp you own battery terminals that way it comes out looking clean. I bought an in expensive hydraulic crimper on here and was able to produce and professional looking finnish. I'm very pleased.

Pros
  • love the ability to switch from one battery to second battery
Cons
  • Uses additional electricity to function

Failed after a week

This ended up having an internal sort and would not charge the secondary battery unless you pulled on the terminal. Very poor constructed product and the customer service keep wanting to troubleshoot in being something with my wiring and I informed them I could bypass the product and everything works just fails once you connect the smart charger.

Pros
  • quick response time, helpful seller and great product
Cons
  • The fasteners are a bit cheap. Don’t over do it when cranking them down on the studs

Good product good for me

Seems switch is well built; easy to install - just pop out the sides you want the wires to enter/exit. Happy thus far, hope it holds up to the elements.

Pros
  • Easy to install and enables me to disconnect my battery during long periods of non use.
Cons
  • Can be an additional expense to maintain and repair

Excellent Switch. Well worth the cost.

Very solid construction and it works great. I especially like that I could completely enclose the unit to protect it from the elements. I just drilled two holes in one side plate to allow me to run the wires into the switch. I then put silicon around the holes where the wires entered and it is completely sealed. Would definitely recommend this switch to others.

Pros
  • Very sturdy switch
Cons
  • May not accommodate all sizes of batteries

It keeps the secondary battery isolated, but drains the primary.

Our truck has two batteries, the primary battery that starts the truck, and a secondary, deep cycle battery, that operates a hoist. I installed this so the two batteries operate their respective systems, but can both stay charged when the truck is running. The truck only gets used once every two to three weeks and I have to keep a trickle charger on this truck now, because it keeps draining the primary battery. The isolator keeps cycling on and off every few seconds and eventually drains the…

Works great good for me

Purchased as a boat battery disconnect yesterday. Installed today and switch is always on. Position doesn't matter it will not disconnect I guess I should of tested before install. What a waste of time, and yes it's wired correctly.Update: works great, had a problem with back feeding through amp issue. Disconnect works fine.

Pros
  • Appears to
Cons
  • Difficult to install in some vehicles

Great Product in my review

Wonderful Product, helps to ensure solid cranking power and adapting of external power devices added to original harness.

Pros
  • Came in exactly as described. Little slow on the shipping.
Cons
  • May not fit properly in all RVs

Works perfectly, no problems!

We have had problems with our travel trailer overcharging the batteries when on AC power. We are working with the manufacturer to correct the problem. In the meantime, we installed this switch to allow us to disconnect the batteries when at RV parks, etc. While this was meant as a temporary expedient, it will also be handy when storing the trailer when not in use.We installed the switch directly to the frame, adjacent to the battery compartment. This meant using metal screws rather than the…

Pros
  • Instructions included: One Battery Switch (not include bolts/hardware)
Cons
  • May require additional alterations to the vehicle's electrical system

What! How is it best in my review

How is it I didn't know about these sooner. I mean years sooner. These cost a little bit more but worth it. Requires frequent testing to ensure proper function.

Pros
  • works good
Cons
  • Requires frequent testing to ensure proper function

Great switch - get the 3/8” Lug battery cable

These are great isolator switches. They are durablely built and easy to mount. Very important to get 3/8” lugged cables. I purchased 5/16” and will not go on the terminals. I did not use the included mounting hardware. I used 1 1/2” stainless steel #10 screws. Screwed into the plastic side of the battery well in my 24’ Suntracker Fishn’ Barge DLX. Connected these to the Blue Sea 4 terminal marine bus block with plastic cover. Also used one as an isolator for my 24v Trolling Motor battery bank

Pros
  • ‎Rotary Switch
Cons
  • May require special tools to install

Pretty stout, seems well made

I like that it's a kit so you get the lugs, the boots, heat shrink, and the cable ends. It all appears to be really well made, of course time will tell how it stands up to use.Hard to stay away from made in China products these days, but this one seems pretty solid.

Pros
  • ‎4054S
Cons
  • May cause electrical surges during operation

Sometimes difficultto switch

The unit is well made except the switch sometimes will not rotate to break or make a circuit. The red knob is also able to come off, not great but so far it is working for us only time will tell.

Pros
  • The power kill switch works perfect . I drilled threw dash and mounted from inside.
Cons
  • Can be challenging to find a qualified installer

Cheap plastics.: my feedback

So disappointed. I fitted this disconnect today even though I purchased this in November. Everything mounted correctly and easily and I wired it up to the battery. Switched it on and it worked perfectly. I had some led lights and boat instruments as a load on the battery and everything came on. I switched it off again.Later the same day I went back out to show a friend my handy work and went to switch it on. It was seized and only moved a little in one direction. I tried turning it off again…

Pros
  • Can be used with 8V up to 60V DC systems to isolate and secure the electrical system
Cons
  • Can create electrical shocks if not installed or used properly

Exact OEM Replacement.

Turns battery on and off!. Exact OEM replacement for my 2005 Chaparral 205, which had simply fallen apart. I matched the part from the photo online. Pleasantly surprised that I didn't have to MacGyver a replacement switch to fit.

Pros
  • Strong and reliable, great for adding other lines directly to the battery.
Cons
  • Takes up valuable storage space in the vehicle

Great Switch: my feedback

Works as it should. Easy to install. I have this wired to my yard tractor battery so I can attach the positive and negative cables from the Diesel Pump to it without having to raise the hood every time I need to fill up.

Pros
  • Looks durable and so far, has been a good addition to my truck
Cons
  • Not easily replaceable if it breaks

Best battery terminals ever

These are the best batter clamps I have ever used. I have a piece of old rail road tie, used it to brace the crimp on connectors while I smacked on the punch to set it. Then I used a small cold chisel to cross an X into the crimp connector. This worked great! The wire and connector are permanently together now. I wire brushed the cables before crimping, then I shrink wrapped them. Installed the terminal connectors and done! No more electrical problems in my 96’ 5.0 Ford ExploderThis is probably

Pros
  • Disconnects the battery safely, to eliminate any power draw from the battery when vehicle or boat is not in use Compact size, sleek modern appearance, sturdy and durable
Cons
  • Can increase the risk of electrical fires within the vehicle

Good post kit for aftermarket wiring and ease of use

I used this kit to enable the future installation of aftermarket wiring, instead of the typical poor quality wiring job to the old lead posts. This also enables quick removal of battery cables. This is a good kit.

Pros
  • ‎Cllena
Cons
  • Can be easily stolen if not properly secured

Awesome battery shutoff option!

This is my second one purchased. I used these for capacitor shutoff for car stereo systems (so it doesn't drain the car battery when not in use for awhile) and it's the perfect thing for it! Very sturdy construction and gives you more than a few wiring options.

Pros
  • Will handle high current loads
Cons
  • Can be an unnecessary expense for some consumers

Capable high capacity switch

I learned through a number of failures from a friend, that not just any switch would hold up to the high amperage that I needed. After searching for quite a while I finally found this sturdy well made switch that is currently handling my 58 volt / 20 amp power source for one of my electric bicycles.

Pros
  • I thought it’s biggerThat’s ok will mange
Cons
  • May not be aesthetically pleasing to some consumers

Very sturdy. on my review.

These terminals are heavy duty. Not flimsy at all like another set I purchased and had to return. I used solder slugs on the connectors. You don't need a torch, just use a heat gun to melt the solder and then push the wire into the connector.

Pros
  • Simple if you know how to cut clean n solder connections n heat shrink for a clean look.
Cons
  • Takes up additional space within the vehicle
