Review on Power On/Off With Cllena Battery Disconnect Switch For Marine, RV And Vehicles by James Hounds

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Works perfectly, no problems!

We have had problems with our travel trailer overcharging the batteries when on AC power. We are working with the manufacturer to correct the problem. In the meantime, we installed this switch to allow us to disconnect the batteries when at RV parks, etc. While this was meant as a temporary expedient, it will also be handy when storing the trailer when not in use.We installed the switch directly to the frame, adjacent to the battery compartment. This meant using metal screws rather than the bolts that came with it. I carved a notch out of one of the side panels for the wiring, then sealed the entire thing with black outdoor silicone glue. It is now dust and water proof -- and looks professional.

Pros
  • Instructions included: One Battery Switch (not include bolts/hardware)
Cons
  • May require additional alterations to the vehicle's electrical system

It is exactly as shown. I say this because if you notice, it shows no nuts and bolts holding this unit together. That is exactly what you get. That said, the unit is well made and feels like it should be durable. I will update this post after installing it.
