Moved across the country. The dryer didn't turn off when the door was open. We haven't used the dryer in four years but my wife insisted she did in 2016 when we stopped using it. Thanks honey for letting me know. Two days later my dryer broke and my three kids' laundry was piling up because the door switch ejected the towel. Of course, instead of four years to find out, I have about two days before I surrender to the laundry monster. Two days later this new switch was on my doorstep and 15 minutes later my dryer was up and running again. Suggest watching a video how to open the dryer lid to install the switch. Overall, it took 15 minutes to locate and watch the video and 12 minutes to swap out the switch (most of the time was spent looking for a screwdriver and spatula). The total cost was that part.
