I bought this shelf from Home Depot and it had the same wood grain as this peel and stick. My clients were setting their drinks on it and I had a plant on it as well and the water rings damaged the surface so I bought this peel and stick to hide the damage and prevent more from occurring and it works GREAT and no one can even tell it’s on there. I attempted to cover another shelf and failed miserably. I found that having the shelf hung FIRST and using the wall as a guide makes a major difference in applying the product straight. I ordered a second roll and will be redoing the other shelf after I put it on the wall.
