Better than the original
Our home was built in the 1950's and has a front door that originally had a latch. The deadbolt itself has never worked so well, and we never felt the need to lock this door. This replacement handle was very easy to install, was a perfect size and the twist handle comes in handy when one of the users pushes the door too far into the wall. My only recommendation to the manufacturer is, if possible, to make the finger rest a little deeper on each side.
