Beautiful mustard gold colour, exactly as pictured. Its tone is muted with a barely perceptible brightness. (Unobtrusive, but refreshes my tan in a dreary, rainy winter.) This is a mustard that has no green tint at all. Finally! This is the second scarf (same product and brand) I've bought as I was impressed with the size, feel and color. The first scarf is a grape colored, soft, muted, slightly dark purple that looks like a neutral even in strong light. The price is ok in my opinion because I know I will use them a lot and get more than my money's worth. It can be a cool spring scarf, as well as winter and autumn. Before putting it on I washed it on a low or normal cycle and hung it to dry which didn't take long as it's translucent thin. With an air temperature of 38-42 degrees Fahrenheit, the neck and head are warmed. It caught on one of my earring hooks that I was wearing, but I removed the earring and removed the scarf while holding the earring. After taking the earring off, I simply stretched the scarf (like you would with sheer stockings) and the weave was in place. I will still wear it with pendants and hook earrings but I will be careful with that. I've had scarves like this for decades and they still look great.
