Great value, but only needed 1

Works perfectly on a 12 v system that needed a pilot light. I now have 7 extra for future unknown projects. I'm sure my grandson will come up with a few. Fits perfectly in a 5/16" hole - don't have a metric drill bit for the 8 mm suggested hole. The green is perfectly bright. The leads are color coded for polarity - color lead is positive (+) and is same color as light.

Pros
  • I like that they were perfect for my application. I used them as turn signal lights on my side by side.
Cons
  • One of the lights was missing a wire, which made it unusable.

I wish that they were secured into the metal holders better. They pull out rather easily. Otherwise they work very well.

very poor housing quality

Aluminum body threads are so loose fitting with supplied nuts that care must be taken not to strip even when gently tightening.

Exactly as advertised

I needed something with these exact dimensions and this was spot on. I only needed 2 but liked the price.Taking off one star because one one of the leads had a bad solder joint. It was easy to flow it back on with some heat.

These are fantastic LED lights

I I'm so happy with these LED lights. The fact that they put a diode in it made all the difference in the world I've tried other ones and they blew out immediately. These are working awesome.

Super easy to work with

Because they already have a resistor soldered in these are very easy to use. I built a small test box to monitor relay contacts with a 9v battery. The LED(s) are easy to mount and bright with 9 volts applied.

  • Some pigtails were not soldered/connected, so lost a star...

  • The frosted lens might not give off as much light as a clear lens

Worked great for me

I bought these to use as eyes in a Halloween prop. I hooked them up to a battery pack and they are bright red. Should work great For what I'm going to use them for they couldn't really be better.

Defective Product in my review

The wires which are crimped to the LED leads using a butt crimp, simply fell off the assembly. It took no effort to pull the wires off. 2 of the 5 LED's were defective this way. I will have to solder all these butt crimps to make them reliable. Very poor Quality Control (actually seems like no QC).Would not recommend these to anyone.

LED will pull out of socket with only small amount of pressure. I put 3M adhesive to hold the LED in the socket so it cannot come out.

Pros
  • Nice looking, bright, and rugged. Very easy to install and tighten to its base/box.
Cons
  • The installation process could be difficult for some people
