IDEAL FOR REPLACEMENT
4.0L engine. I had some hesitation in the engine and it gave an error code (check engine light) leading me to believe the EGR valve was bad. I got an offer from the dealer to replace it for $446 ($215 for the valve and $231 for the labor). It took about two seconds to decide that I would do it myself. The work took about 1/2 hour. The problem disappeared after installing the valve.
