Review on 🌱 Penn-Plax Aquaponic Betta Fish Tank: Cultivating a Flourishing Habitat for Plants and Fish by Chelsea Hayes

I would recommend it without hesitation!

I bought this to demonstrate aquaponics to my kids at home. We have a 1.4 liter aquarium. In the aquarium we have a pretty beta (named Bon Jovi), about 2 inches of gravel, 4 balls of marimomoos and a rooster hammock. A peace lily was planted in the aquarium. We've had this setup for a while now and only have positive things to say. With a weekly water change of about 25%, the aquarium stays very clean. Nothing is added - no chemicals, additives, drugs etc. Just plain tap water. Our Bon Jovi has a lot of space, he is very active and healthy. My kids often say they think he's smiling. The peace lily is doing well too. We see new taproots and new leaves slowly appearing. I recommend it without hesitation! UPDATE JUNE 25, 2019: We have had this tank for 18 months now. I'm happy to announce that we also have the original beta. Bon Jovi is happy, healthy and doing well. Last winter we added a small heater. We live in Michigan and it's freaking cold here! We continue to maintain the aquarium with simple weekly water changes with no additional additives (water conditioner, chemicals, medication, etc.). The white gravel was starting to look pretty muddy and muddy so I changed it to river rocks a few months ago. The lily of the world has grown so much that it has been divided twice, and new plants are now in a different place in our house. The roots of the plant part remaining in the aquarium must be trimmed regularly so that Bon Jovi does not get tangled in them. I still love this aquarium and still highly recommend it!
