1/2 gallon short for Betta

This was an impulse purchase. I bought it for a new betta. According to research, the Betta really does need a tank of at least 2.5 gallons. That's a great concept, but my water was consistently cloudy, even with the plant. Also, I couldn't get over the fact that my betta was in a 0.5 gallon container. In the meantime I have switched to a more suitable tank size.

PLEASE DO NOT BUY!: Aquariums

As in the picture I bought an Anthurium plant to put in a small 0.5 gallon tank. The roots had a hard time getting through the holes but I managed with the big ones and the plant itself seems to be doing fine. Then I first bought an expensive betta about three times the size of the tank itself. Guilty. During the day it was dead, but before that it had survived for several weeks in a smaller container. Of course, even though I was pouring freshly purchased dechlorinated spring water and had the

Nice aquarium, happy fish!

I'm amazed at all the bad reviews on this tank! I've had it for almost a year, I really like it and have been thinking about buying a second one. Seems like most reviewers are saying it's too small, but c'mon guys! These fish live in cold, dull, dirty plastic containers at pet stores and supermarkets. Even a half gallon tank is an upgrade of all upgrades for these small betas. When I got mine he couldn't even swim because the container was so small. But now he can swim and has a lot of hidingโ€ฆ

I would recommend it without hesitation!

I bought this to demonstrate aquaponics to my kids at home. We have a 1.4 liter aquarium. In the aquarium we have a pretty beta (named Bon Jovi), about 2 inches of gravel, 4 balls of marimomoos and a rooster hammock. A peace lily was planted in the aquarium. We've had this setup for a while now and only have positive things to say. With a weekly water change of about 25%, the aquarium stays very clean. Nothing is added - no chemicals, additives, drugs etc. Just plain tap water. Our Bon Jovi has

Happy Fish - Aquariums

Key points to remember when keeping fish in these conditions: * Water needs to be changed and handled at least twice a week * The volume of the vase is about 40 ounces, like at a pet store. 10 oz cup* Fish must be placed in a heated (78-80 degrees) aquarium during winter* Spring water is a safe option with 1/8 teaspoon of aquarium salt per 1 gallon* Fish must be fed 4-5 times a week Plant roots are not enough* Adopt root plants, make sure the fish have a place to swim or discard the plant *โ€ฆ
