Review on ๐Ÿ’บ Serta Ergonomic Executive Office Chair: Motion Technology, Adjustable Mid Back Design, With Lumbar Support in Brown Bonded Leather by David Miller

Revainrating 5 out of 5

I decided I didn't like being in my 40s.

.but I think this chair can really help me. I'm 6 feet tall, weigh 170 pounds and have a lower back injury. After reading many reviews it seemed that people either loved or hated the different chairs they had, probably because each person's medical issues are a little different. I found that I liked strong lumbar support, so I started looking for a chair like this. I just received this chair today so these are my first impressions. Only time will tell how well it works for my back or how well it holds up over time. I decided to try this chair for its strong lumbar support and recline feature. The recline function is great for reaching for something on a desk or leaning forward for a closer look at a computer monitor - the chair seat tilts forward slightly and the lumbar support automatically moves with you (no lever required ). I have the feeling that I can move much more pain-free than in my normal office chair. It also has a traditional rocker arm if you want to recline the entire chair from its upright position. For me, the "headrest" is actually the support for the shoulder blades. But everything is fine with the lumbar support - apparently I want to sit higher to lean on it. But most of the time I sit upright without a shoulder brace thanks to the lumbar support. The seat seems pretty soft to me. In terms of style and construction, I have to admit that the price first drew me to the 'chocolate' chair. But then I realized it would go well with the wood in my office. The stool I received is a very dark brown like the Revain photos, maybe not as shiny, with a "grainy" feel. "Chocolate" is a good description of the color (perhaps a light burgundy brown). In real life it looks smaller than I expected - not a big CEO/manager chair but a very practical size. It's definitely not too small for my frame - just talking about the optics across the room. After reading other reviews my main issue with the style was the white stitching that someone reported. The stitching on my chair is lighter than leather, but it's brown with a slight sheen (reminds me a bit of copper) so it seems to catch light from different angles. It actually goes well with the skin. The chair was assembled fairly quickly (screws and Allen key included). However, the irony is that with back problems I have to lay down on the floor to collect something that will help solve my back problem. UPDATE: Well after using this chair for a week I still have to give it 5 stars. But I should warn people that this isn't necessarily the answer to back pain in the office. It helps me with sciatica but my tailbone starts to burn after 10 minutes. Then I have to get up and "walk awayโ€ from the pain for about 30 minutes. I don't think it's the chair's fault (there's enough padding for a 170-pound dude - it's comfortable enough). But rather I think it's a problem with my spine. I have several moderately degraded drives. So what works for one drive might not work for another? As the chair is definitely better than the last one I had in the office, this is the keeper. At least I can work ten minutes here and there.
