I recently had a double mastectomy and the post-op drainage belt changed everything! When I got home from the hospital I was wearing a surgical bra that had a place to "hook" the drain. However, when it came loose after 48 hours, it didn't fit well and I had to switch to a hookless compression bra. The belt allowed me to wear the drains all around and the position was well below my incisions which helped with proper drainage. Also, I could hide the phone when I had to go to a store or public place. I even wore the belt to bed as it was very comfortable. The mesh bag that came with it was also VERY convenient for showering, which I got to do 48 hours post-op. In between, I could take care of everything myself, which I preferred. I didn't want my family to see my chest area until well into the healing process. These two products helped achieve that goal.
