I used paper clay in my mold and it worked very well. I cut the shape right in one spot before adding the clay to make removing the clay easier, just glue or gum the cut pieces together and set aside to dry. Clay Air Dry takes forever to dry when it's that thick, so after 5 days my clay was still soft on the top half. But enough of the base is fully cured to remove. Holding the shape of the incision I was making, I carefully pulled out the head.
