it has cut my liter consumption in half. Cats use this box as a pee box and use the regular liter box with regular 1 liter litter for other things. Significantly reduced my garbage bill. I have 7 cats so it's expensive. This box is easy to use, change and save tons of money. I buy kiln dried pellets from the Country King in a giant 50 lb bag for $5 and also buy large dog pads from Sams and use them under this crate. I clean the small tray that comes with the kit, I bought another cheap regular liter box that I put the dog mat in and then put this box on top. I have to change my pad about every ten days. Great product!
