Review on 🎁 ROKR Educational Assembly Toys for Christmas and Valentines by David West

Difficult assembly but excellent material quality

Christmas present for my older sister. She loves it after all the hard work that went into assembling it but as everyone else says in the comments the instructions are awful and you MUST READ BEFORE ASSEMBLING because they tell you AFTER certain things not to glue if the first thing they might show you this is to glue the parts shown in the step (do not specify which parts until you have already glued everything). This made her very angry after working on it for more than 3 hours (I don't even know exactly how long, but she worked in her room most of the day from early morning). I had to pick apart the glued pieces for them with a paring knife to get between the glued edges. Overall the quality and design is amazing. The rotating fan-shaped element that resides in the robot's head cannot stand still, and there are no instructions or details on that. In the end, she had to compromise and find her own way. Now it works and is on her bookshelf. The final complaint is that cutting out your own shapes (like a heart) is quite tricky and tedious, but I like the idea of doing it in a way that has something unique only to your robot, but overall it's a pain. I just felt bad because it had stressed her out.

Pros
  • Sturdy design
Cons
  • Damaged
