Review on High-Speed Electric Grain Mill Grinder for Gluten-Free Flours - Professional Home Flour Mill Machine and Wheat Grinder - Wondermill by Marcela Taylor

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Grinds well BUT.

The Miracle Mill excels at making flour from grain. Grinds quickly, not too loud, flour does not heat up. So five stars for that. Of the minuses: the lid of the canister, which captures the flour, snaps tightly onto the canister. It has to be screwed on because if you try to remove the lid from a full or partially filled canister, it will be accompanied by a large cloud of flour as it pops, covering you and your kitchen workspace. Canister to the grinder to the grinder when you start the car. Otherwise, the starting torque of the mill will disconnect the feed line. But what worries me the most is the fact that you can't disassemble the assembly to clean it after use. The user has no access to the milling chamber. The instructions say to run the grinder for a bit after grinding to allow it to clean itself. This appears to be a disingenuous statement from the manufacturer about cleaning. Any baker will tell you that there is no such thing as a floured utensil that "cleans itself". So it seems to me that there is always some flour left in the milling chamber to age and "mature" and mix with the next batch of fresh flour. It may not seem like a lot, but if these things are important to you, you can consider them when making your purchase decision about a grinder.
