Even though the canister itself is sturdy, I believe that a couple of turns of the runway are still a more dependable method of transporting it. It was merely packaged in a cardboard box before being wrapped in stretch film. The canister is identical to the one that was originally used and was refilled with new oil and vic c111 before the winter while everything was still in working order.
