Review on Cke Door Entry Guard Sticker: Carbon Fiber Style for Toyota Camry - Front Rear Door Sill Protector by Lagant Wardrick

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Good price, easy to apply and hopefully long lasting.

I want to start by saying that you definitely want to take your time with this app. I used this on my 2021 Camry. I understand that the product photo shows a decal applied to the plastic rocker protector, but to me it just looks ugly when applied to the metal itself. If you didn't have rock sill guards, be it plastic or metal, that would be fine, but it looks a lot better if you peel off a piece to apply a decal, trim off the excess and replace it for a nice professional look. by removing each of the sill panels, cleaning/wiping the sill itself, and then cleaning each surface and edge of the sill with rubbing alcohol. The front rocker panels have four clips holding them while the rear ones have two. Take your time pulling them out as you won't need too much force. I used a soft, flat-edged plastic scraper to lift the corner, which helps a lot. Once you have that edge you can go ahead and slowly and gently pull each cut off area until they are all removed. The next part might be easier if you have two people: one person holds the rocker protector and the other person aligns the decal, but I don't think this is essential. You can use a vise to gently squeeze the plastic sill, which allows you to peel off the backing of the sill protector sticker and carefully begin to stick it to the rear edge of the sill protector, which is near the edge under the weatherstrip on the door jamb. . You need to make sure you center the logo as much as possible, using the overlap on each side as a guide. Once you've done this, make sure to press it down firmly with your fingers and evenly smooth out any bubbles and wrinkles. or firmly attached and in all grooves so that there are no pulling or lifting points. You can then work your palms around the edges until the entire decal has adhered neatly and evenly to the tread. You can leave the overlap for now as you don't want to cut it too close to the edges. Because while you're sticking it to the flat surface, the sides, and the edge underneath, you'll also need some of it under the plastic piece to keep it in place when you reinstall it. and will not peel/curl due to weathering. I trimmed about a quarter of an inch around the edge, leaving slightly longer than the side where it's rounded. You can then continue working with the decal on your palms, making sure it adheres to the bottom edge and some imperfections on the underside of the rocker panel. After making sure everything is tight, you can reattach the rocker protector with the rocker sticker and don't worry about it coming off. See all my photos for help with alignment and placement. Hope that helps.
