Review on Dell Latitude AC Adapter Charger Power Cord - E6400 E6410 E6420 E6430 E6440 E6500 E6510 E6520 E6530 E7240 E7440 Laptop by Darrin Lucas

This Dell charger was good initially. But after about eight months, the charger stopped charging at random times. The only thing I notice is that I'm working on it right now and my screen goes dark when the power goes out. (The little LED light where it connects to the laptop goes out as seen in the attached picture.) Now a year later I can't trust it to charge overnight because the charger was in the middle disconnects at night and i wake up from dead battery on my laptop. It was always plugged into an extension cord with surge protection. I've never had a problem with other chargers on this power strip. Sometime a few months ago I noticed that the charger was getting warm so there might have been some kind of internal fault but that's just a guess. price ($30?!), it gets a star and a "Do Not Buy" recommendation.
