Over the past few years I have bought many LED bulbs while replacing incandescent bulbs around the house and trying to reduce power consumption. The biggest challenge for me has been finding LED bulbs that don't emit light that is immediately recognizable as LED, i.e. sharp blue-white light. Some people don't care about light color, I do. Most manufacturers now include "color temperature" information in their advertisements for LED bulbs. The warmer end, 2700K to 3000K, best reproduces the warm "glow". A couple of bulbs I bought that were rated at 2700K produced light that I wouldn't call warm. These lamps are really 2700K warm white. I used them to replace 100w outdoor spotlights. Put them next to old lightbulbs and I don't notice any difference in the color of the light. These LED spots emit slightly less light than 100W incandescent bulbs, but they are not designed to replace 100W spots, but rather to replace 65W indoor spots used in recessed downlights. However, they are designed for outdoor use. So I get almost the same amount of light, and the light looks the same at 1/9 the power consumption. Small downside, the outside diameter of the lamp is a bit smaller than the old 100w headlights so they don't look like the old ones, but I have closed cases so it's not a big deal. As long as these LEDs last around 25,000 hours they will remain a 5 star purchase. I can't say anything about dimmability.
