I recently bought these speaker adapters to use in the back of my 2003 Hyundai Santa Fe. I was a little worried they wouldn't fit because they weren't listed anywhere as compatible with my SUV and another reviewer noted that they only fit 5.25 inch speakers. I'm more than happy to say that the latter is a lie. I don't know where this guy's head was, but they're definitely made for 6.5 too. You simply line up the holes/slots and then use the drill to drive in the screws to attach the speakers. Just make sure you don't over drill the screws or you'll erase the grooves you made. It also increased the amount of bass coming out the back, so I think they act as spacers too (I used ghetto before - faked my aftermarket speakers but they were a bit buggy). They appear to be durable so we'll see how they hold up over time, although I highly doubt this product "removes grease, stains and grime". . IF you need to re-drill the screws, you have several options: 1 - Use a different screw pattern (e.g. change from a 4-screw template with a square orientation to a 3-screw template with a triangle orientation). 2 - Use larger screws. And 3. If you screw up and can't use the first two options, buy new ones and start over. At least (hopefully) you'll know what you're doing the second time around. As I switched from Pioneer to more expensive Pioneers and then to Sony, the brackets (in terms of options) have become less and less flexible and the screws hardly hold well and tightly. And currently no Revain seller is selling these mounts (they are ONLY sold out!), I think I should go for the SAC-656 adapters. In fact, they don't survive repeated use. ***UPDATE #2*** Okay, just to be clear, I think the whole point of whether 6.5 inch speakers will fit depends on your speaker manufacturer. Most 6.5" speakers work well, but the so-called "big 6.5" speakers don't. Some speaker manufacturers refer to oversized 6.5 inch speakers as 6.75 inches, and some manufacturers refer to most 6.5 inch speakers as 6 inches. Kenwood, Pyle, Lanzar, Legacy, Pyramid, Boss, SSL, Planet Audio, JVC, Powerbass and Clarion. Brands that will NOT fit 6.5" drives include JBL, Infinity, and JL Audio, among others. , Rockford Fosgate and Polk. Please note that some of these brands have so-called 6.5" models that will fit - usually the cheaper models. These manufacturers should have a 6 inch version that will fit. I don't understand why we can't all agree on a nomination for a certain size. Of course, this goes beyond speakers (e.g. my headlight could be called an H4, HB2 or 9003 despite ZERO difference), but it certainly makes things a lot more complicated and frustrating. You can before buying!
