I am very happy with this humidifier. It automatically maintains 50% humidity and relieves my allergy symptoms within 1-2 hours. After a few days it got warm and I wondered why it kept blinking in standby mode. I downloaded an app that assured me everything was working fine. The application reports both outdoor and indoor temperature and humidity. Now it's cold again, the humidity has dropped and the system runs more frequently again. Now in May I need to add more water about every other day. I'm assuming it lets more water through in the winter months. The only downside is that part of the air purifier doesn't work in combo mode when the humidity is high. There's only one setting for the air purifier, which runs at the set fan speed you choose (and you drain the water), but then you lose automatic humidity control. If you only want moisture, simply remove the filter unit. I've read that it doesn't whirl air around the entire room as quickly as other devices, but it works great for my springtime allergies. While the pollen filter that came with the unit was good enough for my allergies, I bought an upgraded comfort filter to get rid of VOCs that I will install after we redo it to get rid of paint and new carpet odors.
