Mold stains formed – a known problem. To stay updated!

I would never write a bad review but this time I feel compelled to warn buyers. I bought this kettle at the end of 2019 and after 4 months I noticed several black dots on the bottom. I've cleaned it with vinegar, warm water, etc., but nothing helped. Then I realized they were actually mold stains! I did a little research and saw that many other people are having the same problem. I contacted the seller a few months later about Covid 19 and was happy to receive a free replacement within the warranty period. To my disappointment this time the new one got moldy spots within 3 weeks! I contacted Hamilton again to let them know that the product appears to have a known defect but as the warranty had expired they have refused to replace or refund. I would advise against this topic! Absolute waste of money! I have other Hamyon products that I am happy with but this was a very poor purchase. I am very disappointed in their lack of diligence and recognition of the problem.
