The sound quality and volume were surprisingly good. Much better than I expected
Bought for a "hackintosh" build that didn't interact with the motherboard's onboard audio. I directly connected some small and cheap external speakers. The sound quality and volume were surprisingly good. Much better than I expected. Much louder than I expected. macOS (on a real or jailbroken Mac) recognizes this without any fuss — it just shows up automatically in System Preferences > Sound. No drivers or fuss; it just works.
