I'd give 5 stars for the build quality of this beach umbrella, 5 stars for the colors/styling, and 5 stars for the price over other competitive commerical-type umbrellas.Having been plagued by cheap, aluminum and plastic, boardwalk-buy unmbrellas, I really thought this would be a home run. In the past we've rented umbrellas at the beach, but those do very little to block the UV rays for fair-skinned individuals.So imagine my delight when I read that this umbrella seemed to offer commercial build quality AND "99%" UV protection! Well, long story long, I sat under this umbrella for about 5 hours yesterday at the beach, and received some of the most severe sunburn of my life. Apparently the 1% of UV rays this doesn't block really lit me up.If you don't have fair skin, buy this umbrella. If you do, lather up with sunscreen like you didn't have an umbrella, then buy this umbrella.Update: Upon further consideration, the overall quality of this product deserves more that 2 stars. The UV protection issue may not be as essential to a majority of buyers.
