Sharpens very well
I bought a set to see if it would fit my students. The flip cover is a bit flimsy and I'm sure a few students will rip it open in no time. However, the sharpener portion fits well into the ground and should be enough to hold the shavings. VERY WELL SHARPENED! I tried it with a black Ticonderoga pen (my favorite) and it was almost dangerously sharp. I've also tried it on a cheap pencil and a cheaper colored pencil; all great results. I have about 10 terrible pencil sharpeners for $3-5 each so I'm very happy with them! They don't fit a lot of shavings, but they're great for school kids to use to sharpen a broken pencil in class. For my purposes and the price great!
