Nice big countertop oven but not really an air fryer

Over the last few years I have tried several different countertop ovens/fryers in search of the best all in one solution. This is definitely the greatest combo product I've tried. It's still a little short of the ability to hold half a sheet pan (which my goal is to find), but it can hold most 13 x 8 pans.+ The oven's preheat cycle gets the oven to the desired temperature fairly quickly. , and notify you when it's reached. If a timed program is set, the timer will not start until the oven has reached the desired temperature.+ When the oven is in operation, the interior light comes on so you can visually monitor the progress of the oven.+ French doors can be opened from both sides and open or closed at the same time, so you can open the oven with one hand+. Using the "Bake" mode (no convection) I found that the oven baked evenly and consistently+. heats up very quietly. The convection fan is almost completely silent.+ There is a non-stick shelf at the bottom of the oven that catches drips and can be easily removed for cleaning.CONS: - Temperature settings are adjustable in 25-degree increments. If a recipe calls for 360 degrees, you must choose between 350 and 400 degrees and adjust the cooking time. No external control of interior lighting; it does not light up when the doors are opened, only when the oven is running. The oven features a full-size wire rack that can be used for al fresco roasting. For example, when air frying french fries, I usually "lose" some of the potatoes at the bottom of the oven. I prefer some sort of basket (and had to buy one separately to use for this purpose). The oven comes standard with a rack, but you can bake two frozen pizzas at the same time. This is only possible if you use the fryer shelf for one, and it gets really messy. I've tried and can't find a second standard oven rack - The convection fan for this oven is on the right side of the oven. When hot air or hot air frying, the food must be turned because the food closest to the fan cooks faster. I prefer ovens with a fan on top which allow for a much more even roast/bake. The digital display is too small. If you have the slightest degree of visual impairment, have bifocals handy as you will need them. The digital display is quite small, but the text that shows the mode selected is incredibly small.- French doors have a spring mechanism and if you don't open them fully they don't latch and close automatically. This can be a plus or a minus. If you don't open it fully or knock on one of the doors while reaching in, you could easily burn yourself. Air fry mode takes longer to cook food than other fryers. tries. There doesn't seem to be enough airflow for the "Fryer" compared to others I've tried. To turn off the oven before the scheduled cooking cycle is complete, you must press Cancel twice. Even if the oven turns off after the set time has elapsed, you still have to press "Cancel" to turn it off. However, it does not continue to heat up after the time cycle has ended. - The "crumb tray" or bottom shelf slides out easily to clean drips, but has no "protrusion" on the rim. If small items like french fries fall out of the frying grid, they end up here. Without a ledge, when I take the shelf out to clean, potatoes or crumbs fall out and I have to scoop them up around the heating elements after the oven cools down. VERDICT: For baking, I love this oven and continue to use it. I wish it was a little longer so I can fit half a sheet pan in it. I would also like a second standard utensil shelf and more control over the baking temperature. For convection and air fryers, I've reverted to another smaller air fryer with a top-mounted fan that gives great results in less time. Based on my experience, I wouldn't buy this oven if it wasn't for baking. I don't feel like it has the performance or design to classify it as a fryer and the circulation level isn't really up to convection standards. I'm still looking for a suitable multifunction oven.
