Review on 🌬️ Honeywell White Comfort Control Tower Fan - Slim Design, Powerful Cooling - 1 Pack by Joy Berry

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Perfect for my use. Beware if you have small children or climbing pets. Epoxy tips can help

Another update: still works as well as the first day of use almost two years ago. I don't want to tempt fate so I won't update again unless something abnormal happens. I'm still very happy with it and feel like it saved me from buying a new air conditioned room for my office and doesn't use a lot of electricity to be comfortable here. Upgrading my rating from 4 to 5 stars. Oh, and by the way, we don't have any kids or pets. UPDATE in 10 months: This fan has been running almost 24/7 for 10 months just to draw cool or warm air from the next room. which has a large air conditioning with heat pump. It was an experiment just to save money on installing an air conditioner in that room. I've used it in the winter to blow out low lying cold air and draw in warm air with the vacuum created at the top of the door, but on the coldest days I've left the heater on here too. The fan runs at medium speed, making the room quite comfortable when it's hot outside. and I attribute to the heat 3 days when it was more than 100º outside. It's NOT ONE DECIBEL LOUDDER than when you first turned it on. It wasn't damaged, although sometimes my wife turns it over for some odd reason. INITIAL REVIEW: OK, I have it on sale from Revain for $40, so I'm going to rate this item at that price and my initial rating is 4 stars. It's quiet enough that I can put it next to my office door, and it brings noticeably cool air from the next room without making enough noise to bother me. This is high speed. At low speed it is almost inaudible. Reading other reviews I must have gotten one of the good ones. so many complaints. But it's very quiet initially and generates enough wind to meet my needs (my office air conditioner is broken so I have to suck air out of the bedroom). ATTENTION! While the following information may extend the life of your (working) fan, it will almost certainly void your warranty and your ability to send it in for repair or a refund! Assembly: Made of cheap soft plastic. The screws are the right size but are VERY easy to get out of the soft plastic so I recommend making sure you put everything together correctly (maybe put it together and then remove the screws one by one and dip them in epoxy). Then screw them in until you feel them touch the bottom + half a turn. You may want to apply a dab of epoxy to the latches on the base and stand. It's easy enough to see where to put it. just a little more power. Store it in the pedestal and bottom of the base and it's not even visible. don't use too much. Do this at your own risk. I have experience in such things, so it's easier for me than for a beginner. It is obviously VERY fragile, so handle with care during assembly and any transport. I do NOT recommend this or any similar fan for use when a toddler is a dragger or likes to "make" things. Find a more solid fan. maybe even a cat would be enough to drag him down and crush him. Even for $40, it hurts when something breaks! For my use this seems perfect. Later it might get louder or fall apart despite the epoxy, but who knows, maybe not. Most fans serve me for a very long time.

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Slightly wrinkled
