Good camera, questionable Android app

The camera works well, the picture quality is good for a cheap import camera. Overall I would rate this a 5 out of 5 with the exception of one issue: their Android app. There is no way to easily disable location services for the camera app. I contacted the vendor's tech support and while they were very polite and knowledgeable on the matter, I was not satisfied with their response regarding disabling services. They have stated that the app they use is common to most Wi-Fi connected cameras and that disabling services is not something they have control over. Apparently the app needs location services to recognize the camera. Tech support said it was necessary to find the camera (this isn't necessary - I'm an application developer and I know it's not necessary). If you try to turn off location services while the camera is active, the app will stop working. They gave me a crazy workaround that requires very hard keystrokes that works, but I won't use it, it's too clumsy to use every time you connect your camera and notepad (every time you leave the car turn on). While location services are enabled, the WiFi connection is directly connected to the camera. Since my device doesn't have cellular coverage (Galaxy Tab 8), I'm a little less concerned as it needs to save the locations and then give them back to the app developer (based in China). I clear the buffers in the app before reconnecting the device to my wifi with my own custom app. If you want to use this with a mobile phone, I would disable mobile data services for this app.
