Conclusion: Easy to assemble without reading the instructions. Software available for Windows (64-bit), Android and Apple means I can control my cameras remotely and locally from my PC, phone or tablet. I chose 16 channels because it helps cover my entire house inside and out and gives me plenty of additional channels to expand. Motion detection wasn't that intuitive to set up, but a quick read of the manual got me what I wanted. Note that the default motion sensitivity is at the maximum, so do not set the email notification until the sensitivity has been changed to the sensitivity appropriate for the area. I learned this the hard way with hundreds of emails in my inbox in just a few hours. The software has a lot of options and that made me read the manual more carefully. I have yet to try the face recognition, but it's an interesting feature. I recently added an Amcrest PTZ Wi-Fi camera and it integrated seamlessly into the system. Now I want to switch all my outdoor cameras to PTZ. I hope this block will last as long (or longer) as the working block it replaces. Had to delete the old one because my email provider updated security and the old one was no longer able to send email.
