I can't rate this swimsuit as too big or too small as it has two pieces. However my daughter who wears very small or size 0 jeans found the shorts were too tight and the top was a bit big. We gave my 10 year old daughter the shorts to wear with her bathing suit as she wears one piece shorts, they have no lining or bathing style inserts. I don't understand how you can wear them without something else underneath. However, she kept the shirt and we bought her a separate pair of shorts. She loves the colors and the style. UPDATE: The swimsuit fits as described above, but the quality of the top is very good and does not show. The bottoms still need padding for swimming but are also well made. The company that sent them sent me another one today. So my other daughter now has one to wear (she wears xsm in juniors).
