Review on ☕ Capresso 303.01 4-Cup Espresso and Cappuccino Machine - Black Compact Design for Home Brewing by Christopher Todd

I was afraid of the very expensive and difficult to use machines on the market. I've used French presses, funnels, and drip coffee makers before, so learning about espresso machines was a big step. After a delicious coffee that a friend prepared on this coffee maker and his recommendations for this device, I decided to buy it. It was very easy to use - no fuss and made a gorgeous, rich coffee with excellent frothed milk. LIKE - compact device (does not take up too much space on the table) - easy to use and clean, uncomplicated - makes good quality espresso, froths milk well - easy to fill coffee, with enough space not to clog the coffee grounds spills DON'T LIKE - prone to very quick and dangerous destruction (the two I've had so far have had issues with a faulty water seal causing hot water to squirt from the top, and then a faulty steamer which is also boiling milk sprayed all over the machine when suddenly in the middle of the work it twitched, occasionally hit the pot) - no frothing pot - the steam can run out for frothing steam. Completely release any remaining steam/pressure and turn off the machine before opening the lid to add more water. Allow the machine to fully heat the water. My machine takes about 5 minutes before it's used and I hear a slight creaking sound from the nozzle when it's done - this greatly affects espresso quality and frothing ability given the fact that it breaks down relatively quickly and can be dangerous can. I like the quality of the coffee, the ease of use and the compactness of the device. However, if it breaks after a few months of use, it's not a worthwhile purchase - a waste of a lot of time and money. Uncertainty about other much more expensive machines and their mixed reviews made me give the Capresso another try and order my 3rd machine...which hopefully won't break. But to be honest I wouldn't recommend it to friends or family.
