Only had it in my hands a few weeks but so far I'm very happy with my purchase. I bought this to replace my Maxtor One Touch external hard drive. d had been using Time Machine for backups for about two years when it suddenly expired and I ran out of backups. :(I use both drives for Time Machine. That way I have multiple independent backups in case the drive burns again. The Thunderbolt connection is probably an unnecessary but worthwhile upgrade over my old USB 2.0 in terms of speed. The backup copied 350GB in about 7 hours I did a bit of googling to get the drive working in the JBOD configuration on my Mac - it worked like a charm out of the box as a RAID 0/1, but the included software tool adds an element to login to your Elements user account which somehow prevents drives from being properly mounted as JBOD Removing the login item fixed the drive mounting issue and everything has been working fine ever since.
