I’ve had this fasination with playing/flying a drone pretty much since I’ve seen one the first time. But for one reason or another I have never bit the bullet and purchased one until now. Obviously price is one factor and for this Syma X20 it was pretty appealing so I bought it. Another factor is size and what might be a good one for a beginner. I’ve read reviews and they seem to be very good for Syma X20.I have just started to learn how to use it and so far the learning curve is pretty good. I mean I have been able to fly it and I am having fun. I should have done this sooner.I felt like I should add some feedback on my experience since others have taken their time to do the same. I hope others will find joy from flying it as I am.I have included a few pictures showing the packaging and what comes in the box. The X20 pocket drone, controller (you need to provide the 4 AAA batteries as they are not in the box), a charging microUSB cable, as full set of 4 replacement propellers and a very nice, very readable manual. You will need a small phillips head screwdriver to open the battery compartment on the controller.A few nice features of the X20 are:One key takeoff and landing - pressing the two front buttons at the same time will set the X20 into takeoff and will hover at a height which you control with the throttle (left) joystick.Headless mode - which essentially means that regardless of where the X20 is facing - when you press the joystick to go forward (away from you) it flies in that direction. Likewise, if you move the directional joystick to the left the X20 flies to the left. It’s a more of a care free mode where you aren’t concerned with knowing where the front of the X20 is pointing.360 degree stunt flips - by pressing the right front button and pushing you directional (right) joystick in one of the four directions - the X20 will perform a full 360 degree flip in that direction.Auto hover - Pressing the left joystick up or down and releasing it will cause the X20 to raise or lower and hover at that height.I am planning on shooting a video of flying the X20 which I hope add later.
