I've had it for a few months now and have used it at least 20 times. First, it's easily adjustable for both thicker and thinner cuts of meat, and the temperature is also adjustable. It's very versatile, not only in terms of the thickness of the meat to be cooked, but you can open it all the way and it has two cooking surfaces. I especially like cooking chicken drumsticks, on high they cook in 10-12 minutes. In addition, the hobs can be easily removed and cleaned in the dishwasher. I wish I could stop here and give five stars but I can't. It's VERY DIRTY. Grease drips are awful, if you touch the grate during use the drip tubes fly off the grate and hot grease drips all over the counter. Even if you manage to keep the drippers in place, you're still lubricating the table. The design is surprisingly bad for a German company. Grease splatters everywhere, every time I use it I have to spray cleaner on it and wipe the grease off the unit and then spray and scrub the counter. I also put a thick layer of newspaper underneath, sticking out a few inches on the sides because all the grease was dripping down the sides of the grill. Also, the grill surfaces appear to be Teflon, but they don't have good non-stick properties. After the first use I realized I had to spray the oil on both surfaces to clean them easily. If you spread newspaper underneath and are very careful with drip eliminators and don't forget to drizzle oil on the cooking surfaces, it will work well on hamburgers, chicken, steaks and other reasonably even flat cuts of meat. But despite all this preparation, be prepared for some significant post-use cleaning. I've had George Foreman grills and a copy of GE's GF grill and both were much better designed and far less messy. This time German engineering failed miserably.
