This item looks better than the pictures show. It folds up so you can cook on both sides at the same time. Also, the black medallion part that you cook on both is separate from the device, making it very easy to clean! The height of the opening can also be changed using the dial on the side, allowing you to adjust the width of the opening. It's hard to explain, but it's another added bonus.

The grill let me down for two reasons: 1) The non-stick surface is terrible and very difficult to clean (unlike the George Foreman I have previously) and 2) The grill does not drain well, leaving only a few drips in the drain pan after roasting two chicken breasts. I think I'll put that in the closet as a spare and order another George Foreman. Very disappointed.

This is the third style of panini grill I have. And definitely the best. Warms well, spacious, washes well. Removable grill plates are a must for every grill. However, the grill plates are quite thin (so they heat up quickly) and the non-stick coating is mediocre. I will order an extra kit from the manufacturer if possible if these don't last long.
