They're colorful (blue and gray striped version), warm, fluffy and easy to slip on. The stiff heel doesn't hang around my little one's foot like some boots do - it's wide enough for a wide foot and thick toe to fit in and out without much wrestling. The side zipper opens low enough to make dressing easier. They have a very fluffy cuff at the top - it picks up some snowballs if you're actively playing outdoors, but not if you're walking normally. Waterproof like most warm boots: Wet snow, puddles, or hours of play will get wet, but regular play or short walks will keep you dry.
