The base has gotten warm...possibly defective.
I love the style and size of this lamp. However, when I plugged in the USB port to charge the Switch, the lamp base got hot and the Switch would not charge. I hope it was just a defective lamp. Works like a lamp but not like a charger. So after much deliberation I ordered another one and will give it a try. If it fits, I'll change it to this one. If both don't work, I'll send both back. It was difficult to assemble, quite noticeable but I can't rate it as value for money if the charging ports don't work.
