Ordered this for my nephew's Gizmo 2 as he always wants to play with my adult watch - the strap feels solid but isn't scratchy or rough. For being a nylon fabric, it's pretty soft! I was able to hook it up to a $700+ dive watch (Christopher Ward) and it felt really great on MY wrist, but I had to attach it to the end link while it was on my wrist. The strap is very short, but your child's hand should slide easily through the loop. Great, great alternative to the factory straps that came with it - can't recommend enough!
