It's not thrash but far from the top! I used it to drive 2 JBL CS1214 12" subwoofers with a maximum output of 1000W. 250 RMS each. According to those amp specs it should have been running at full subwoofer rating, but I'm pretty sure it didn't deliver the 250 RMS I needed for my subs. This would get them thumping pretty good, but if you stay at that level for more than 15-20 minutes, the AMP overheat protection mode will kick in. Generally given the attractive price, but the performance is overpriced. 3 stars are the absolute top grade. a rating I could comfortably give to this particular amp. Anyone who's even partially audiophile like me knows enough to know that this is the best you can expect from BOSS. This is a budget/all-in-one with average specs at best. Just another perfect example of why they say "get what you pay for"
