This device has no cooling system

I've been using this application for more than a year and it hasn't died yet. This amp was cheap and you get what you pay for. The sound quality is fine for the small setup I use it for. 2 x 12" woofers in sealed spigot for Camaro. I live in Texas and it's very hot here. This amp DOES NOT HAVE A FAN! If you live in a colder climate this might work for you. Anytime the temp is about However, once it exceeds 83 degrees this app goes into protection mode. A lot! During the summer months I onlyโ€ฆ

Suitable for certain applications

Good amplifier, but not for long-term high-power use. Suitable for any subwoofer with a maximum output of 17-1800W. I use a subwoofer that is in the range of the amplifier, but no matter how well I tune in relation to my main unit and the amplifier power, the amplifier always switches out over a certain one Level. That other brand amps that push lower levels don't have a problem with this, I've been using them extensively for many months and it's ok if you want to play some, but wouldn'tโ€ฆ

My woofer burned out - the amp lasted 1 week

The amp stopped working after a week and also MY woofer burned out. I was playing at low volume and started smelling the woofer. I didn't know where the smell was coming from, but the next day the amp wasn't working. I replaced the amp and the speaker worked but the voice coil rubbed. I opened up the woofer and found the voice coil was fine, but the glue holding the aluminum frame to the cone had melted and the frame was warped. I bought the same woofer and the new Alpine amp works fantasticโ€ฆ

True RMS Power Measurements for AR1500M

I'm sure many of you are wondering how many watts this amp actually puts out, right? The manual says "MAX 1500W" and even Revain's description says "1150W RMS". The Boss Armor AR1500M has a 30A fuse, so using the usual 10x math we would expect this amp to be capable of putting out 300-350W. So what is he really doing? I have a SMD/D'Amore Dyno AD-1 technical amp and have tested over 150 amps. I hooked up the AR1500M to an amp dyno and here are the results (all RMS power results): 4 ohmsโ€ฆ

Overheating and excessive RMS output

First things first - the amp has a metal case and looks good - it seems to reproduce my 800w RMS subwoofers into 2 ohms with the same volume and quality as the amp, which I replaced it with (The gain of the amp is the same as the multimeter) - This is a 2 channel amp, good if you need to connect 2 pairs of wires, otherwise it will also be connected with a bridge - It will come with a bass control Supplied - It's cheap Now with a bad one - First, the connectors are too small for typical 4 gaugeโ€ฆ

FYI, 200W RMS into 2 ohms

Was looking for a small upgrade for a 2009 Honda Fit audio system. I didn't want any crazy bass crushing stuff, just something to help fill out the low frequencies. This amp delivered more than enough power. I looked at the amp ratings and dynamometer test results and it shows that this amp does indeed put out 200W RMS into 2 ohms. This is more than enough to pair with a regular factory sound system. Sounds good, tunes too loud (my neighbor has already complained lol) and is easy to tuneโ€ฆ

I'm not going to push two high-end subs, BUT.

I've owned this amp for about four years so at least it's durable. I don't need to go into detail on resistance (2-4), jumpers or whatever because the other guys' reviews cover it pretty well. The thing is, its max power rating is 1200W, which I think means it's consistently putting out 500-700W. This results in the bottom two subwoofers or subwoofers drawing 250-300W RMS power all the time. Maybe even 350 watts. I use this to push a kicker compR cw122 which is 1000w max and 500w rms andโ€ฆ

Budget amp, average performance. However, without a doubt an overrated specification!

It's not thrash but far from the top! I used it to drive 2 JBL CS1214 12" subwoofers with a maximum output of 1000W. 250 RMS each. According to those amp specs it should have been running at full subwoofer rating, but I'm pretty sure it didn't deliver the 250 RMS I needed for my subs. This would get them thumping pretty good, but if you stay at that level for more than 15-20 minutes, the AMP overheat protection mode will kick in. Generally given the attractive price, but the performance isโ€ฆ
