Review on 🚗 Powerful Car Amplifier: BOSS Audio Systems AR1500M - 1500 Watts Max Power, Class AB, Monoblock, Mosfet Power Supply by Tina Peterson

The amp stopped working after a week and also MY woofer burned out. I was playing at low volume and started smelling the woofer. I didn't know where the smell was coming from, but the next day the amp wasn't working. I replaced the amp and the speaker worked but the voice coil rubbed. I opened up the woofer and found the voice coil was fine, but the glue holding the aluminum frame to the cone had melted and the frame was warped. I bought the same woofer and the new Alpine amp works fantastic. Double the volume and don't need base reinforcement. The Boss amp was set to full volume, full bass boost, and a fairly high crossover point. This woofer has not been abused. I suspect the amp was driving a large 12 volt current to the woofer. The woofer is a fairly cheap 12 inch woofer but after 3 days with Alpine it gets strong and puts out at least twice the bass. NOTE: This sound system was also professionally installed.
