As someone who had the previous model I find this updated version not that much better because it has more features but because it is much heavier. It has the size and scope compared to its predecessor, the way the features change is even clearer and more concise. I have yet to test the detector's sensitivity compared to the old version, but if its appearance is any indicator, it won't disappoint. However, I immediately found that I really liked the fact that this is a micro USB charging port and not a 5V charging port. I always had trouble charging the old device and I know there will be no such problem with the new device. The lighting and instrument readings also appear much clearer. Overall an amazing product. No cons since day one.
