I was surprised by its size, but it does the job. I wasn't expecting a "swamp cooler" i.e. H. You add ice or purified/distilled water to the top of the unit and a fan blows air past the wet cloth to cool the air. The reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is: 1) I don't feel confident enough to stuff or use electronics on my desk and where I need cool air while I work. 2) I work from home, on the phone, not sure if it can hit me and not be heard through my headset mic, time will tell.
