Review on Motorcycle Highway Footpegs 2013 2017 Explorer Motorcycle & Powersports in Parts by Matt Venable

Footpegs fit and look great on my KTM Super Adventure. Even the orange color matched the orange KTM crash bars. I love the way they fold - just what I was looking for. However, the mounting design could be better. The mounting studs sticking out at the rear barely fit between the bridges and the sheath and threaten to damage my sheath on the first smooth lay (I hope that never happens). The bolts are only separated from your crash bar by a cheap piece of plastic. This breaks when the screw is tightened so that the pins do not slip. It gets worse; Within the first week, the right pin began to get stuck in the up position. This quickly deteriorated to the point where the pen could no longer be folded. Soon the other stake did the same. While driving I had to knock them off with a crowbar by breaking off the locking pins. Strangely, they now work perfectly. I really like this product but it needs to be designed to work well before you break it.
