Durable, go from hiking to water, sand, concrete and trampoline without changing clothes as long as they are not wet and need to be tried from a ride to a creek. There is arch support, they are a bit more difficult to put on and take off but in some cases that's a plus so they don't take them off so easily ;) My daughter is 20 months old and she wears them almost every day. love her and will continue to get her as she grows.
