Review on Black CNC Bicycle Brake Lever: Ideal Mountain Bike Handlebar Brake Lever for MTB by Stephen Schmidt

Revainrating 1 out of 5

Not like in the photo. Not CNC (actually not machined at all). Poor quality metal and workmanship.

You really deserve a star. After all, they are brake levers. They are wrong about almost every other statement in the list. The metal is cheap. When you insert a screw into a threaded hole, the metal will appear grainy rather than smooth like a high quality piece. Barrel adjusters have the same problem, but since they're also made of poor quality aluminum, they stick and the locknuts on the adjusters stick too. I oiled the threads, that made it better but it's still there. I suspect this customer will eventually bring it back for new barrel adjusters (or new levers). These levers are not machined, let alone CNC. It is most likely if someone hits the lever of the fastening screw. The finish is the same as the parts you would find on a bike in a department store. Bad quality everywhere. Maybe they work as brake levers. They seem fine at the moment, but I'm glad they're riding a bike that's used for basic trail cycling. If this customer used the bike daily, these levers would face backwards. Note. The picture shows the decent Promax levers. I've seen them before at this price point, so it wasn't crazy to think this was coming.

Pros
  • Brake parts
Cons
  • Not everything fits
